How nonresidents hunt upland birds in Vermont

Nonresidents buy the nonresident hunting or small game license over the counter. Ruffed grouse are Vermont's main upland bird, best in the Northeast Kingdom; pheasants, quail and chukar exist only where privately stocked. Spruce grouse are endangered and protected.
