How nonresidents hunt upland birds in Texas
Nonresidents buy the nonresident general hunting license, or the special 5-day small game license, plus the $7 upland game bird endorsement, over the counter. Nearly all Texas quail hunting is on private land, usually leased or guided; the Annual Public Hunting Permit opens TPWD's public areas.
