How nonresidents hunt upland birds in Ohio
Nonresidents buy the nonresident hunting license (or the 3-day tourist license, which covers small game) over the counter. Ohio releases pheasants on about 20 wildlife areas for opening day and Nov. 14 and 26. Quail are open only in select counties and wildlife areas; ruffed grouse only through permit-based controlled hunts.
