How nonresidents hunt upland birds in North Carolina
Nonresidents buy the nonresident state hunting license (season or 10-day) over the counter; no extra upland stamp. Grouse are in the mountains; quail are mostly on managed private land and game lands in the Sandhills and Coastal Plain.
